BOOTMGR missing

Hell Ive run into a problem...

While installin Windows 7 on a fresh formated disk iam gettin this msg all the time... The instalation disk wont boot... I cant access anything. No repair... Nothing. Ive tryied also my old windows XP disk to get it to boot, but same error msg... BOOTMGR missing...

I did read the other topics about this but they dont seem to have apear while the CLEAN install... I need help plz :<

Mobo is ASUS sabertooth and a standard Hitachi HDD...

I have a slight guess what migh be the problem...

Where did you get Win7? If it isn't booting, the ISO could be corrupt if you downloaded it, or the burn could be bad if you don't burn using ImgBurn at 4x speed with Verify. Try burning another if so, after confirming ISO integrity.

If you don't get the prompt to "Press any key to boot from DVD" then it isn't set correctly to boot DVD drive first in BIOS setup. Follow this: How to Boot your Computer from a Bootable CD or DVD.
Or use the one-time BIOS boot menu key given on first boot screen to trigger DVD drive.

Formatting doesn't come into the picture until after the DVD boots. In rare cases you'll need to wipe the HD to overcome corrupt boot code: SSD - HDD Optimize for Windows Reinstallation

But you'll need to get DVD to boot first, or write the ISO to a flash stick to do install using this tool with Win7 in dropdown menu: Universal USB Installer. Boot under USB or HD's.

Like others have already said in this post, that error message is indicating that your computer is not reading from the setup disk, but rather from your blank HDD. What you need to do is "trick" your computer into reading from the installation disk, even though for whatever reason it doesn't want to. Here's how:
- Enter the BIOS and change the boot order to first boot from your CD/DVD drive; AND for now, disable the rest of the boot devices. ONLY leave the CD/DVD drive as your ONLY boot device. Save and exit the BIOS.
- Now for the trick - take out the installation disk before the computer has a chance to "read" from it. It actually wants to skip over it and read from the HDD (as that pesky BOOTMGR error indicates).
- The computer will now give you another error saying: "DISK ERROR - PLEASE INSERT" or something along those lines. Anyway, nows the time to insert it. Do it and press ENTER. Then it will say again to press any key to BOOT FROM DISK. Do that. There ya go..... off to the installing... follow the prompts. When your done, dont forget to change your BIOS back to have the HDD on your BOOT list.

Funny thing was I double checked and the DVD rom was in the first boot priority and as said above it started to boot ONLY after i did disable all the other devices...

I think my LG drive is malfunctioning bcoz now it wond load any DVDs or CDroms and putting in... It just blinks and nothing happening.

I would replace the DVD drive.
