    Hi karank6195,

I'm assuming you mean dual boot Windows 7 with XP? Bu dual boot I mean, having two seperate Operating Systems installed on the same hard drive but on different partitions (for more info, check out this Wikipedia page). If so, the following tutorial should cover just about everything.
Dual Boot Installation with Windows 7 and XP

    Hope this helps,

    With your partitioning problems in:
    Make 3rd Partition

IMO, I would buy a Ext Drive for your Data.
If you have a desktop add a slave drive for Data.

    OR,

Use VirtualBox , run XP as a guest OS . You will be able to use XP and Win 7 at the same time, you will not need to restart your computer to use either OS, it doesnot need a separate partition, and it is free :)

    Hello again.

I have a solution for the partition issue at the other thread and that will solve the XP install issue at the same time, create the Extended partition / Logical drive and install XP to that and that will work perfectly, no boot loader issues and if ever you want/need to remove XP a simple format to the Logical drive it's on will solve that.
