    latchling sata cables compatibilty


    hi all.
    how can i tell if my mobo(gigabyte 880ga-ud3h rev3.1) is compatible with the latchling type sata cables? sorry if its a dumb question lol. are all new boards compatible with them?

    Yes. All SATA sockets will take either latching or non-latching cables. I recommend the latching type.

    second question. im building a pc for my brother. im using an am3 board. evrything is ddr3. wen it comes to gpu whats the difference between ddr3 and gddr3?

    cheers. hes not a gamer but wants to play the odd game now n then and ive squeezed his budget as much as i can lol. so im gonna go with the xfx HD 5450 as its got higher clock settings than the msi version i was originally gonna use.
    xfx hd 5450
    GPU Clock: 650 Mhz
    1024MB DDR3 Memory Clocked at 1600MHz

    msi hd 5450
    Core Clock Speed(MHz) - 650
    Memory Clock Speed(MHz) - 1066

    both at the same price £30 lol
    as i said it isnt gonna be a gaming rig.
