Faisal, I cant figure out why the machine has suddenly stopped reading the dvd boot if as you say the disk is fine. As a workaround perhaps you can try installing from a flash drive.

I agree. Write the DVD ISO to flash stick using this easy tool with Win7 in dropdown menu: Universal USB Installer – Easy as 1 2 3

Boot the stick under USB, Removable or HD's using the one-time BIOS Boot Menu key.

But when i put my windows xp cd i get the "press any key to boot" screen. WHen i press any key, a blue screen appears with the error message:

This is a different issue where XP doesn't have and needs the SATA controller drivers on newer hardware.

But if you get the prompt for XP CD then something must be wrong with the Win7 DVD. Confirm ISO integrity and burn another using ImgBurn at 4x speed with Verify. Or write ISO to flash stick as given.
