    Boot loader not accessible

    Hello,

I recently installed Windows 7 on two different hard drives in the same computer.

When installing one I disconnected the other drive, and when the first one was installed, I disconnected the first drive and installed it on the other drive.

Now only the second Windows is loaded each time I turn on the computer and boot loader screen where you can choose the OS does not show up.

What went wrong and is there any possibility to restore it?

    Thanks

What Windows 7 versions are you installing?

The point in unplugging one during install of the other would be to choose which one you want to boot via the BIOS Boot Order (for preferred OS HD) or one-time BIOS Boot Menu key given on first boot screen (for the other OS).

If you wanted the Windows boot menu you would leave both plugged in so Windows would autoconfigure it, and interlock the HD's. You can do this now if you want using EasyBCD from one Win7 to add the other.

Thanks for the replies, I'm using Win7 Ultimate 64bit and my intention with unplugging was to separate both systems
completely on separate hard drives. If both are plugged in, Windows usually creates some system partitions on the other drive which is really annoying because then you get a real mess and you never now what partition goes where. In addition, sometimes i get 0 MB partitions created by the system itself when formatting and cannot delete them afterwards

    You need two lic keys.

You can not dual Windows 7 Ultimate 64bit & Windows 7 Ultimate 64bit.

    You can dual Windows 7 Ultimate 64bit & Windows 7 Ultimate 32bit.
