Windows7 wont fully install
I run XP Pro which boots from a removable caddy IDE drive.
I want to do a clean install of Windows7 on another drive which I can use in the caddy to test the OS.
All is fine until the computer does its first reboot during install, then I just get error message that PCI.sys is missing or corrupt and it tell me to go back to the repair on the install DVD. When I do that, it goes through the motions of repair but just comes up saying that it cant repair and thats as far as I can get.
The install DVD is fine because I have tried the exact same install routine with a removable caddy drive on another computer.
Any suggestions.
