Error Message During Windows 8 Install?

I am trying to install Windows 8 x86 on my 2-year old Acer Aspire One netbook. After the screen that says "Setup is Starting," a message comes up telling me that a "Required CD/DVD Device Driver" is missing and that I must find the driver file before continuing setup. Being a netbook, my machine doesn't have a disk drive. Does anyone know what to do here?

Try remake your USB Pen Drive installer.

Create Bootable USB or DVD - Windows 8 Developer Preview ISO

the easiest way to install Windows 8 Developer Preview is to write the ISO to a bootable USB Key (4GB or higher):

    see tutorial link above

When you write the image, it may appear to hang for a long while – one of the files in the image is huge, and takes a long time to write. Just be patient!

This would be my second downloaded .ISO and my third attempted USB boot disk. I've installed Windows 8 on an HP Mini with no problem, so why doesn't Windows like the Aspire One? In terms of hardware, the two have the same amount of RAM, are running the same processor (Atom N270), and most likely have the same logic board. Thanks.

Windows 8 issues should be posted at our sister site Eight Forums instead. :)
