    Help to Format and Reinstall

Hi there, I have an HP G61 which was purchased from Pc World and having had 2 new hard drives with the later having software installed and now been given Recovery Disks.

I want to remove/wipe everything on the hard drive and then use the HP G61 Recovery Disks to install the HP factory stuff and I presume Windows 7.

I have read a thread which states you need to alter BIOS, I cant even find this on my PC.

Then I want to install Windows Word & Excel etc, can anyone advise how I can install with no cost, hopefully downloadable.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I need it spelling out in simple english please.

Look forward to replies, thanks in advance.

You had to replace the HD on your HP so they have given you Recovery Disks, and you are asking us how to run them correctly?

Follow these steps to boot the first disk: How to Boot your Computer from a Bootable CD or DVD - Boot to CD

It should be self-explanatory from there, reinstalling the full factory installation onto the new HD. If not, post back exactly what happens.

You also can consider finding a Win7 installation DVD for your licensed version to clean reinstall without the factory bloatware using the Product Key on the COA sticker attached to computer. Steps for doing this are in the Perfect Install link in my signature picture below.
