    Boot Problem

Windows 7 (Release Candidate Build 7100) appeared to install correctly and everything but when i boot it, it shows the boot screen, after that, the screen flickers a couple times then nothing shows except two lines in the bottom right corner reading "Windows 7 Evaluation Copy. Build 7100"
anyone have a solution to this?

If you restart your computer and login to "Safe Mode" does the desktop show then?

You might stick in the DVD and boot to DVD, after language and keyboard, click lower left side --> REPAIR follow prompts and see if that will fix the problem.

no, this is supposed to be the first time use, so its setting up my computer. when i boot in safe mode, its says installation cannot finish in safe mode. so i boot in "last known good configuration" and all seems to be going well, it shows the status bar at the bottom of the screen saying something like "configuring your settings" then after a few seconds it crashes. when i boot windows normally, i get the problem i addressed above.

Are you attempting an upgrade or clean install?

A possible work around is to install 7 with a different video card. Then from a working 7, you can download the latest driver for your ATI card and install the ATI card then?

i did both, upgrade off of vista upgrade failed, so i rolled back the 7 installation and created another partition and did a clean install. gave me this current problem, so i formatted the partition, tried it again, same thing.
