    Basic SYSPREP and Join Domain

Hello All, I have to prep a windows 7 32 bit image to roll out over 100 PC's. Can anyone point me in the direction of simple sysprep.xml that will allow me to name the PC during the setup process and join a domain via supplying a username and password (I don't want to have a username and password in the sysprep.xml)

    Thanks in advance

    Jon

There are numerous tutorials on the net to teach you how to use sysprep and image x to capture and deploy a syspre'd Windows 7 image. This part is easy.

The tricky part which requires you to think is how you are going to deploy your 100pcs because you would want to think about volume licensing, which means you will need to know about KMS host and KMS Client. Then which KMS Key to buy.

Your thoughts at this point would be good.

Thanks for your reply, we have a very large ammount of MAK key licenses so the KMS server is not an issue.

We want to prep an initial image, sysprep the machine and then capture the image using either clonezilla or acronis true image. Colne the image on other identical hardware and on bootup I want to enter the machine name & join a domain (being asked for the login details). I also want to have the mak key in the sysprep xml file. I have tried several xml files with no luck. Can someone please post a basic xml file i can edit with my details and build on it.

    Thanks in advance
