Custom Install of Windows 7, how do I fix Office 2007

I have been running Vista but the beast become corrupted and wouldn't run in any way shape or form. I rescued all our documents etc, then did a custom install of Windows 7 64 bit (it wouldn't install any other way.) I found the windows.old folder but I honestly have no idea of what to do with it. Do I need to keep it? May I just delete it, it's a huge file and seems to take up most of the space on my elderly computer.

The other problem I seem to have is with Office 2007, it seems to have gone completely, much to the disgust of my 14yr old daughter who needs to do her home work. Do I need to reinstall it?

Thanks for any and all help.

Yes, you need to reinstall Office 2007.

You should be able to copy your data, usually in My Documents from the Windows.old folder. Ditto for music and pictures.

I did rather think that I might have to reinstall office, oh well at least I know for sure now. I've now cleared out the old windows folder and my pc doesn't know what to do with itself, it's so free of crap. Maybe I should ban the kids from using it.

Thanks for all your help chaps.
