How do you plan to activate Ultimate on your Starter machine?

If you have a key, you can use Anytime Upgrade.

That's fine but you'll still need to activate Ultimate with it's own Product Key, since that machine is only licensed for Starter. How do you plan to do this?

We can't help here with illegal cracktivations. This is a legit forum.

You'd do better to buy Home Premium which has the features most Users need and has a Family 3 pack on sale now for about the price of one license - you could split the cost between two family/friends to pay for yours. http://www.amazon.com/Microsoft-Wind.../dp/B002MV2MG0

How did you try to reinstall Starter? Do you have a Recovery partition on the HD you tried to run? What is the computer make/model?
