    Need help ASAP with windows installer and other error messages


    Hey guys, im new to this forum and im in need of help asap

    Ill start from the start... Last week my laptop decided to tell me that i had a faulty HDD so i took it in to Toshiba and they had replaced the HDD for me.
    Before the HDD got replaced i had Windows 7 32bit with no problems at all well now with the new HDD i have windows 7 64 bit.
    For the last 3 days i have been doing the windows updates none stop and making sure everything is up to date. My problem is now that i want to install Adobe reader 10 and this comes up.. see pic windows installer.
    I tried to use Microsoft fixit and this error msg popped up... see pic Microsoft fixit error
    then i tried to install and update thing and then this popped up... see pic extraction failed.

    I have searched Google so many times and i have practically done everything it told me to do and it still comes up.

    Im at my witts end and i need Adobe reader for my Tafe course. I have no idea what else to do. someone plz help me

    all good, i had to turn on UAC. I had turned the notifications off wen i got the laptop back
