    Going from RC to RTM


    Basically i have installed Windows 7 today, massively impressed (used linux a lot before hand and i think im being converted back :P).

    I am wondering if i pre-order Home Premium can i simply enter my serial code for that when they de-activate the RC we all have?

    What i am saying is that what will i have to do, a fresh install or what?

    Hi liamdawe, welcome to the forums.

    The RC will deactivate whatever happens. I would advise a clean install of the RTM when you recieve it. You could try and upgrade but it's not advised.

    Do exactly as Shark advises... when you get your retail box, do a clean install...

    btw .. nice to see some Linux .. or should I say returning ...users here..
