new system reboots randomly during window 7 64 bit installation
I just got all new parts for my computer. My specs are as follows.
Asus 990fx crosshaur formula 5
msi gtx 560 ti twin frozr 2
amd fx-8120 eight core processor
g.skill sniper ddr3 ram 8 gb
Smasung 250 gb hdd hd250hj
I put it all together without a problem. It post and all my hardware is recognized in the bios. But im trying to install windows 7 64 bit and everytime I do the computer reboots itself. The points at where it reboots itself are random as well. Sometimes it reboots right when windows is done loading the files off the disc, sometimes it reboots while starting windows and other time it reboots 30 percent into the actual installation process. I changed out my 560 with my old to gt 240 and disabled my seconday hard drive to make sure it wasn't my psu being overloaded. So I know that's not the problem. Now, the hard drive that im trying to load windows onto is from my old system and is outdated compared to the other components that I have but it is still recognized by my motherboard and windows setup (when im lucky enough to actually get that far) so I don't think that is the problem. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
