BSOD while trying to repair Windows 7 Ultimate

I installed xp trying to do a dualboot configuration.
    Now just xp boots.
So I tried using Acronis os selector, windows 7 still does not show.
So I tried repairing as I've done in the past with the install disk only getting a BSOD

Mark Win7 partition Active first from XP Disk Mgmt or by booting the DVD: Partition - Mark as Active

Then boot into DVD Repair console to run Startup Repair - Run 3 Separate Times

If it errors again report back exactly when and the verbatim error message.

Unplug all other HD's and external devices. Is this a known-good installation DVD used recently with no prob?

    Thanks no bsod
so now I am getting :This version os System recovery options is not compatible with the version of windows you are trying to repair. Try using a Recovery discount that is compatible with the versión or Windows.
I have tried different discs and all the same except for one windows 7 Ultimate disc, it does not give me option to repair after the agreement just goes straight to show me the the disc I want to install

Try adding Win7 from XP using the steps at the end of Method Two here: Dual Boot Installation with Windows 7 and XP

If this fails, burn a System Repair Disc on same bit-version machine, boot to follow the steps given earlier.

Another method is to use free Partition Wizard bootable CD to mark Win7 partition Active, then click on it's HD to highlight it, from Disk tab select Rebuild MBR, Apply steps, reboot.

Thanks so much for your help I have now gotten it to boot but it will only boot successfuly in safemode.
Otherwise it boots then fails to a Bluescreen I have removed apps restored a backed up image of my system and still cannot get it to boot normally also ran spybot and nod32 made sure no viruses are causing this.
    Any ideas?
    TX again!

Uninstall Spybot which is bloated and buggy for years now. Nod32 is fine.

It's likely a driver but to be certain post up your BSOD in our Crashes forum where the best experts in the world work: Blue Screen of Death (BSOD) Posting Instructions - Windows 7 Forums. You'll know the cause soon enough.

Thanks again I found the culprit seems I missed a logitech mic that was connected (usb)
I have 2 pcs running on one monitor via Kvm and plenty of cables I don't know how I missed but I did but finally my main system is back and I don't have to reinstall.
    What a relief!
    Thanks again!
