    While that is true it depends on how you removed it. Manually does not show errors (i've done it myself) but downloading a tool to do it normally produces non-genuine errors.

The best option is to run Command Prompt as administrator then type SFC /SCANNOW as this will revert all system files to their default state. You should then be able to activate the RC through normal channels.
