Moving Win7 HD to new system

My system CPU fan remains at high speed and the system won't enter BIOS. I got a duplicate HP system and tried to move my Win7 HD from the older system to the new one without any luck. Apparantly Win7 is protected with some sort of hardware hash. I can't use repair or restore.

How can I get my Win7 HD to work in this new system? Everything is legit regarding my software keys, etc.

    Thanks.

If you can't SysPrep your HD on old hardware first, then you'll need to boot Paragon Adaptive Restore CD to run on the new hardware, pointed at Win7 partition, to remove all drivers, Hardware ID and Security ID's.

Absent this clean reinstall using a Win7 retail Installation DVD for your version, following these tips to get a perfect reinstall of factory OEM: Reinstalling Windows 7

Thanks, gregrocker. I see you respond a lot on this forum. Your dedication is much appreciated. I picked up Paragon today and will give it a try. Let you know how things turn out.
