    Help installing windows 7

Hi guys sorry if the post isn't very concise but I'm currently typing this on an iPhone

Basically my problem is I'm installing windows 7 from a disc when I get to the point where it's asking me what I wish to do with my hard drives etc there's 2 partitions Partition 0 and Partition 1 which is of course mostly standard but partition 0 is showing up as unallocated space and says the total the size of the drive is 0 (The drive is a 320g Maxtor SATAII Drive) and Partition 1 is called SYSTEM is 100mb in size. So as you can imagine I can't install windows to a drive that is 0 in size

P.S BIOS can see the drive and it's actual size correctly =|

    Hello ipixel,

Using the tutorial below as a guide, use the Drive options (advanced) option, and delete all partitions for Disk 0 until is just unallocated space, then see if you have all of your space for it.

    Clean Install Windows 7

If that doesn't help, then run the "clean" command on the HDD at boot to wipe it out completely, then try installing Windows 7 to it.

    Hope this helps,
    Shawn
