using sata hdd with ide at same time help!

    it has jumpers on it allready i assume there in master position!by defult

    whats this key for bios

    You can not have your HD Drive & DVD Drive both set to MASTER, as they work not work.

    shall i order a ide to sata converter!
    then could i just plug the converter into the hdd and plug the sata lead from it in my sata 1 slot!
    would this work with what im trying to acheive?

    Maxtor jumper settings: http://www.google.com/url?sa=t&rct=j...lhcz1MxBhiuxew

    Use the IDE cable, set jumpers correctly: HD as Master, DVD as Slave.

    The HD Drive jumper will still need to be MASTER.
