Windows 7 'Setup is starting services'

Just tried installing windows 7 x86 on my computer. Installation seemed to be going fine up until the last stage where it gets stuck on 'Setup is starting services'. I have tried shift + f10 and disabled my video card yet the same message comes up.

    Any help would be appreciated!

I was using custom install from windows xp with an iso image.

Unplug all other HD's and peripherals, reset BIOS to defaults.

Wipe the HD first: SSD - HDD Optimize for Windows Reinstallation

If install fails, next enter Device Manager during install to look for Devices in error and uninstall them to complate install, then update drivers from desktop.

Test your HD with maker's HD Diagnostic extended CD scan.

Test your RAM - Test with Memtest86+
