Within "System maintenance" there is a "System recovery", but this does make a complete formatting of the HD

Does it look like the screenshot at the link below?

HP Notebook PCs - Recover Windows 7 Operating System Using HP Recovery - c01895783 - HP Business Support Center

If not, could you post a screenshot of the location specified at the link above in your Start Menu, and a screenshot of your Disk Management (diskmgmt.msc) window to see if you still have a recovery partition?

    xx

    Hi Brink
I have decided not to do more about it until I receive this recovery disk.
I am simply floundering (can you say that) in IT-problems up to my neck, and I cannot take more, will sit down and read a book instead.
But thanks a lot for your attempt to help me.
But perhaps you have an idea about this:
I am trying to register at the NHC forum, and then I am being asked a "Challenge Question":
"This answer to this question is NOSPAM" - and then you must write something, but I don't have any idea about what they mean. Do you?
    It is here: Registration Form
    Best regards
    Niels

No problem Niels. Please let us know how it went when you get it. :)

The registration question is just a measure they use to make sure that you are actually a human being registering to their site instead of some automatic spambot. You would just type or select the answer and press enter. That's all.

Sure I will let you know.
I know why they do it, but what they write does not make sense at all for me. What do they want me to write?

Sorry, it looks like they want you to enter NOSPAM.
