    can i copy my hdd to my 2nd hdd


    I added a 2nd hdd by sata!
    can i clone my hdd so i can boot the 2nd one with the same windows 7 for games e.t.c and boot the first one for just internet a system files.

    You can use the free Acronis premium cloning app available whenever a Seagate HD is involved: Seagate Acronis cloning free util

    Use the auto clone feature detailed in the Manual which is on the download site.

    only got on windows 7 box!
    i managed to get my 2 hdd in i used a ide to sata converter and just created a drive letter for it and it was all good!
    its seems slower than my main is this normal

    greg!if i use that a copy it will i be able to boot windows from each hdd!the 2nd drive is a maxtor not a seagate?

    Only one of the HD's needs to be Seagate to use the cloning app.

    Please write in full sentences so we know what you did that is causing the complaints about slow performance. Are your drivers up to date on that HD? Check optional Windows Update.

    iv just created a system image on the 2ndd hd!took a wee while.
    But when i open up pictures on the 2nd hdd it just seems take a bit longer than it does on the main hdd!?

    I create partion and formatted 2nd drive and named it drive N:!
    the hdd makes a spring type noise 5 times then it reads data!?
