Not very Happy with Windows 7 Professional

I built a new computer and installed Windows 7 Professional. I have a SSD hard drive - 120 GB. After installation and Windows 7 updates, I have 71.1 out of 111 GB free... Really? Does Windows 7 Professional really take about 39.9 GBs of space? Microsoft's site says that it should take about 20 GB. If so, what am I doing wrong?

    Thanks

Its possible that it could take this much...

Run a Disk Cleanup (Start>All Programs>Accessories>System Tools>Disk Cleanup. See if there is any temp files etc that you can remove to save disk space.

    I did that already

Also, System Reserve/restore is only 100MB.

20GB +/- should be about right. Run WinDirStat to see what's on the SSD. If you have a lot of RAM, the pagefile and hiberfile can each take as much space as your RAM is big. The hiberfile (which you probably do not use) you can delete with this command: powercfg -h off. The pagefile you can reduce to 1GB.

I do have 16GB of Ram.

I turned off Hibernation, that gave me about 12 GB of additional memory.

I also downsized my pagefile memory from 16 GB to 4 gb... So now I have about 95 GB of memory available out of 111 GB.

    Issue fixed...
