Win7 Installed Successful . . . for now

Hi,

I have installed Win7 successfully (the only OS on a newly formatted machine) however each time I have set it up and turned it off . . . the OS will not start up again.

Sometimes it has the Windows writing at the bottom (but no image) and other times just a blank screen . . .

I have tried the system startup fixing thing a number of times, have tried a system restore, have pressed F8 (last good config & safe mode both have proved useless!)

The only option I had was a clean install.

The problem is, the same thing happened again!

Any ideas?

Matt

Maybe it's from setup, did you installed lastest drivers?

The first time I installed Win 7 I used the Windows Update (optional updates) to update a couple of drivers . . . however I didn't do this the second time (thinking that this may have caused the issue).

Installed Win7 32-bit. Now want 64-bit
I have 2 x Windows 7 partitions on my system, both of which are 32-bit installations. I'd like to upgrade one of the installations to 64-bit (I do have a 64-bit machine BTW). Are there any caveats I should know about? I've gathered that an 'upgrade' requries me to choose the Custom Install option...
