    Hi,

If you cannot get into the case, them I'm afraid we cannot help you further. My advise is to find a friend who can help you with this, or alternatively take your PC to a repair shop so they can help you.

Let us know how you get on.

    Regards,

How about buying an ordinary, common, garden variety, pair of pliers?

Do you know what a pair of pliers looks like?

On second thought: I think Golden has the better idea.

Even if you get inside the case, you will be lost.

Take it to a PC shop or find someone you know with decent knowledge.

I"m not sure that would be worthwhile.

Even if you get the case open, I can't see that having a good ending. You will likely be lost and it will be very difficult to help you at long distance---considering where we have gone in this thread.

I vote for a local person or shop who can actually lay hands on your PC.

    Good luck; I'm out.

    Hi Infinite,

I really think the best option is to let someone else do this for you. No offence intended, but if you don't have a basic knowledge of tools required to get into your case, then it is going to be really difficult to talk you through identifying hard disk, finding SATA cables and getting them plugged in the the correct way. I think there is a real risk you will do some permanent damage to your components.

Do you right thing and take your PC into a repair shop to get this sorted. Let us know once you have that done.

    Good luck,
    Golden

    Hi Infinite,

You reall should disconnect one of the hard drives as recommended countless times here (and in that earlier thread I helped you with). Until you do that, I'm afraid you are not going to have much success.

    You have two choices :

    1. Follow the steps given, and get your setup as you want it for free, or
    2. Take it to a PC shop, and have it setup (probably in a non-ideal fashion) at considerable cost.

If you want option 1, then I strongly advise following Greg & Ignatz suggestions exactly. They have solved countless, far more complex issues than yours - you are in very good hands.

    or
    Option 3:
Stay with Windows 7 32 bit.

When I installed Windows 7 to E (Empty Drive), C is in use, it added some folders and files to that drive/partition.

Just thought I might share them as after a quick glance myself, I saw errors.

Have you unplugged one HD yet to try install?

Have you followed the steps Theog posted to install 64 bit to EFI BIOS?
