You don't have SP 1 unless you can look in the System area of Control Panel and see it so stated in plain English as you see in post 149 above.
Don't worry about it--just check Windows Update every day or so. If you don't have it in a week or so, then let us know. It's a big download.
Don't worry about programs for now.
Concentrate on evaluating general performance-----
does it boot quickly
does Windows Explorer open quickly
Does it shut down quickly.
Do all of your devices work as expected--printer, sound, monitor, external drives, modem
Can you go to random web sites quickly
Do you have a malware application installed, such as malwarebytes?
Is your PC generally as snappy as you would have hoped.
Did you copy your data back onto the drive, if you had any backed up?
do you have a backup routine developed?
Configure Windows itself--there are a lot of controls to examine and set to your preference.
Is MSE updating frequently as it should?
That kind of thing.
Worry about programs in a day or two when you actually want to do something like write a letter to grandma, listen to some mp3s, or edit a video file.
In the meantime, look for stuff that doesn't work right or seems weird.
