I seem to have forgotten how to disable the neede to signb in at start up. How do I do this?

Control Panel>User Accounts>Remove Password.

Control Panel>Power Options>deselect Require Password on Wake-up.

I'm trying to eliminate as many start up programs as I can. Which of these can I turn off? These are the programs I have now. (displayed in Norton 360 startup manager, I hope that's okay). Here's what I have turned off, just in case I need it. Thank you.

Can anyone tell me how to disable the side bar pop outs that are present in the start menu? For example MS Word is in the task menu and to the right you can view a list of recent MS Word documents. I don't want to see that list at all. Can it be disabled? Here's an example with Windows...
