Help me removing incomplete installation of win 7

I had a small startup problem so I used my win 7 installation DVD to fix it. The problem was solved but now every time windows loads it shows a menu whether to load windows 7 or windows seven setup. So how do I solve this problem?

It didnt help. I tried EasyBDC, but win 7 setup is not on the boot list.

What exactly did you perform with your Win7 installation DVD? Did you click Install at all?

You should have run Startup Repair . Try running it a few times again.

What happens after running Startup Repair a few more times with reboots?

Please post back a screenshot of your maximized Disk Management drive map and listings, using Snipping Tool in Start Menu. Type Disk management in Start Search box to begin.

    Looks good.

I'd save a Win7 backup image and then reboot to try running the Setup choice then cancel it if it runs. Backup Complete Computer - Create an Image Backup

If it stalls and Startup Repair cannot set you right then boot the DVD or Repair CD to reimage your HD back to where it is now. System Image Recovery

You may choose to leave it the way it is or research it more. I'm only saying what I would do since I never fear to fall back on an image and would not leave a Dual Boot choice hanging without resolving it. EasyBCD would also be my first stop.

It's unusual that Windows Setup would appear if no attempt was made to install but only Repair from DVD. Is it possible someone else may have aborted a reinstall attempt?

I deal with all the software problems of the laptop myself so there is no chance that anyone else might have aborted a reinstall of windows.

I could have solved this problem by setting the duration of displaying the dual boot screen to zero. But I want to remove the windows setup option from the boot screen, so it would load the default OS automatically.
