    Win7 XP Dual Boot problem


    okay so i was trying to instal win 7 onto my laptop because i have a downloaded version and i was using this tut:Dual Boot Installation with Windows 7 and XP so i was using Method 2 and When i get to #3 i press enter and it says i have no hard disk drives installed, i am using a U300 laptop and i dno what's wrong

    what is my problem?

    it seems that the Windows XP install can't find your hard disk because it doesn't have the necessary driver. You have some options:

    a) put the SATA driver on removable media and load it during Windows setup
    b) rebuild the Windows XP media with drivers built in

    how do i do A if i put the drivers on my memory stick

    itel(r) core(tm) 2 duo CPU 25250 @ 1.ghz 1.5ghz

    2.00 gb ram

    64 bit operating system

    Make and model number of Laptop would be helpful:)
    Where it says My System Specs in the lower left corner try and give as much detail as possible.

    I would say you were trying to install Windows 7 using XP_installation instructions.

    Method 2 is for "Installing XP after Win 7 is installed"
