Which two? Please don't think anyone is wasting time, I am a novice and this is very difficult for me. I just hate to make a bad mistake. I will now go back up and read all the tutorials listed. Then will look at your link.

    Thanks

Try Cleaning the HD Drive, using the CLEAN command (no need to use CLEAN ALL) in Step One in this tutorial:
Click here: SSD / HDD : Optimize for Windows Reinstallation
    Than clean install
Click here: Clean Install Windows 7
To make this simple, can I just get rid of both OS on the HD and clean install the new Win 7 from disks? Format???
    YES.

    Delay in following this thread

I am putting the original intent of this thread on hold, because I want to explore another option.

The machine is functioning fine in OSX AND in Win7, BUT I cannot set the default boot system to Windows. Neither Windows (loaded using "Option" F8 key) nor OSX will let me reset the default system to Windows. When I try using System Preferences in OSX, I get the screen with two systems shown, "Mac OSX 10.7.2" and "Untitled Windows."
When I highlight the Windows, and click restart, I get a popup window that says "You can't change the startup disk... The Bless tool was unable to set the current boot disk."

If I can reset the default to Windows, I will not bother to remove the OSX.

Shall I start a new thread with this or continue here?

Can you help me with this?

    Thanks

Sorry for the late reply, you can probably use easuse (check spelling) partition manager, theres a free version for it. Osx partitions uses mac specific format (fat journal something) its been a while since i installed osx on my laptop. The partition should come up as unknown or blank with * on it

    What to do?

Had to do higher priority stuff. Hope you are still there--

You are correct, the system automatically boots into OSX unless I stop it withthe option F8 key.

I do have a repair disk for win 7 from the person I bought the system from.

Recommendations? I would just as soon DELETE the Mac OSX and be done with it.

NOT an expert, need step by step if possible???

    Thanks

If u still have the problem, install a late version of easybcd on ur pc if u can boot, if not? Burn a copy of linux (assuming u dont have a win7 disc) and install a proper boot loader. If u have a win7 dvd it wont be a prob
