Registry fix for creating a Windows 7 profile using the XP method

I've spent months using sysprep trying to create a default profile customised just the way I need it, alas I've come to realise it's simply not possible with the tools Microsoft have provided. In the end I had to resort to using the XP method of just copying the profile across which was fine at first, but then the problems started, namely because of this one registry location;

When you copy the NTUSER.DAT into the Default Profile, the run on first login scripts don't run, causing the incorrect user data to be placed into the registry path above. This is fine, just as long as no software you are using is calling on the folder locations stored in the above registry string. You could just make sure the Profile you used to create the Default Profile remains present, but when a PC is being used by more than one user, this becomes impractical.

I started having issues whilst trying to download attachments within Siebel. Siebel was calling on the "Cache" location in Shell Folders, but as the profile I used to create the Default Profile no longer existed, it would just error out.

Now onto the good stuff, I created a basic batch file that removes the miscellaneous entries from the registry and then places in the correct values for the user that is currently logged in. You can either just run the script once if only one user will ever be logging into said machine, or you can set it to run on start-up every time a user logs in if more than one user will be using said machine.

I've only gotten this to work within a batch file. I tried to use Regedit and I also created a basic VBS script, but it didn't recognise the %USERPROFILE% syntax and would place "%USERPROFILE%" instead of the correct value. You also have to make sure that you are Encoding in ANSI of course when you save it in Notepad - for some reason I wasn't when I first tried and command prompt would just open and close without doing a thing.
