    Put Win7 RC on a USB flash drive (from the Seven Forum tutorial) it took 15 minutes to install.
    Desktop and laptop were the same.

    15 from USB, 35 from a slow DVD player

    Clean install + 2-4 drivers (with all drivers downloaded and ready). About 30 minutes.

    Installing all applications, well that is a different question.

Built 2 computers before and havent had this headache. New ASUS P9X79 pro and a x79 platform processor. I have the recommended brand, type of RAM. Just completed everything (well much earlier today) . When I power on, it shots off very momentarily, turns back on, flashed a bunch of codes...
Why is this. Like 10 minutes plus and it still says recycling. It should only take a second. Is it bad to let it continue at its own pace or should I restart the PC and try it again?
Ok guys, I've installed operating systems hundreds (if not, thousands) of times. I've installed W7 at least 75 times.... this is the first time I've ever run into this problem. I put the usb drive in to install > setup loads files > brings up blue install screen > HUGE wait time, 5 minutes >...
It takes 3 min for the interface to show up after it loaded the files it takes 1 min where it says "setup is starting" after you press install windows Copying windows files takes 1 second I get stuck at completing installation until I got a bluescreen saying something about hardware...
