Win 7 boot problem

Don't know why WD Diagnostic failed to, I have had issues with some boot disk not wanting to boot. As I said you could try a bootable dos usb with DLGDiagv519.zip

I do know TestDisk - CGSecurity has an option to copy files if it can list them.

Run Testdisk in 32bit WinPE or on a different PC and after selecting the drive choose your partition table type (Intel) then choose Advanced -> List -> Choose your corrupted partition then use the colon(:, shift+:/

key to select your files and press C (shift+c) to copy, select your destination and press c again.
Keys to use are listed at the bottom then at the top when you select your destination.

You could also try the MFT repair as you can't do too much more damage and then see how Recuva 1.42 goes.

As for other recommendations of recovering programs I don't know, I've used a couple a long time ago but can't remember what they were. I don't believe there's many free ones out there but have a search of the forum for data recovery, most likly you'll keep getting the sames ones recommended.

If the data is really really important then running a trail/demo might be worth it and paying for the full version if you have success with one of them.

If it's really really really absolutly important and you have plenty of money then you could try one of the professional data recovery services where you take/send your hard drive to them.

Gregrocker may have some better suggestions so have a look around and check back later.

Seems step by step problems come bigger!
It begined from bootmgr is corrupt and then how u get into bad sectors droopy?
Finally what is the solution with the people whom niether bootrec.exe /fixmbr nor system recovery option startup repair worked?
Anyone help plz?

Have you worked through these steps for when Windows 7 fails to boot?

Exhausting all of these steps short of running Factory Recovery or Reinstalling, there are some additional line commands you can run manually which are automated in Startup Repair - the reason it must be run three separate times.

U know when i am trying to boot a bootable dvd win installer i face with this error..
There is nothing wrong with my windows,it loads succesfully...
And i just tried system recovery option and bootrec.exe /fixmgr as i said...

We can give line commands but they are daunting to most consumers, plus there may be other repairs that need to be run so it's best to use the automated method for its thoroughness.

Some news from my problem.
I tried GetDataBack as suggested by I failed running it in WinPE.
I got an error message like "no permission or no temp directory".
Then I tried Easus Data Recovery Wizard.
It scan the HDD (for more than 2 hours) and find a lot of partitions/directories and files to recover.
I then chose the partition to recover.
It runs for an hour more then the progress bar was stuck at about 60%.

It appears your HD isn't in good enough condition for data recovery.

However since there was no reply to the tests suggested we don't know for sure if every effort was made to repair it using maker's HD Diagnostic extended CD scan and Disk Check. Sometimes repairs can give it enough functionality to recover data.

I would first try making a USB flash stick bootable with DOS and using this Data Lifeguard Diagnostic for DOS. This one is just a exe file for DOS. I don't know if this will work as DOS might not recognize your hard drive, it will depend on your SATA controller and in the BIOS it will probably need to be set as IDE not ACHI or RAID.

You can use this tool, USB Format Tool, to format your USB and install the DOS files which I obtained from Windows 98 Boot Disk and extracted and zipped them for you. They are attached to this post. After that finishes, it took my 8GB USB about 25mins, extract the exe from Data Lifeguard Diagnostic for DOS to the USB drive.

To run it just boot the USB and you should get a command line where you can type the exe's filename and press enter. If you don't know DOS you can type dir and press enter to list the files if you forget the filename.

Droppy did mention he tried to run the WD Data Lifeguard Diagnostic CD but it hung with a blank screen during boot.
