I wanted to help you by providing a link to the official Win7 ISO you can burn to DVD or write to flash stick, boot then clean reinstall your OS.
All I asked is that you tell us the licensed version which came with the computer or you bought retail. You have yet to tell us the version, and the key is never printed on the disk which is a DVD and not a CD.
I have these 2 drives available:
X: the drive where the system boot
D: the DVD drive
I tried the bcdboot command using the /s parameter, I got the following error message (in french):
"Echec lors de la définition du chemin d'accès au volume système de la bibliothèque".
In english, it should look like this : "Failed to define the path to the system volume of the library" !
WinPE can't find your HD. You can try to load the driver.

Not too sure about this I believe it should have the driver included, I would check you still have access to the HD in UBCD.

As gregrocker has asked several times, it will help us to help you if you confirm where you got your Windows DVD from and what version it is.
About Win 7 DVD, as I said earlier, I don't know where there are.
I know that there are DVD (not CD) and where the sticker is, I should have been more precise.
I have Win licenses for Win starting from Win 95 to Win 7 + a lot of different MS Office licenses.

I know it is Win 7 64 bits in French.
I presume C: drive that your referring to is your Win 7 drive so you can found out if it's 32bit or 64bit by using UBCD and checking if you have "Program Files" and "Program Files (x86)" or just "Program Files".
Just found this page Installing Windows 7 on an Amilo Xi2528 which suggest you will be required to load the drivers. The link for the drivers doesn't work so try this one ftp://driver.jmicron.com.tw/SATA_Con...17.63_WHQL.zip. Extract them to a folder and copy either the Floppy32 or Floppy64 folder to a USB. You can follow the link I previously gave in post #25.
You will need to know if it's 32bit or 64bit that is installed and use the same bit version DVD or USB for the recovery. I would then check if the drive is there under notepad again and if it is try the Startup Repair again first.
If that fails then let's clear up some info.
1. Your computer originally came with Vista
2. Your not 100% sure if it 32bit or 64bit Win 7 installed. READ EDIT
3. Do you know what version is installed eg. Home, Pro, Ultimate?
4. It is a Retail copy and you have lost your Win 7 DVD and the literature that is supplied with it so you don't know the license key because it is with the DVD.
EDIT: Didn't refresh before posting, so ignore 2. It's 64bit installed and 64bit your using to recover?

I didn't lost the DVD. I moved home and I still have a lot of boxes to open.
