I cleaned the HDD with the diskpart clean all command.
I tried to install Win 7 32 bits.
I selected the HDD but it fails.
Then I formated the disk in NTFS with diskpart and retried the installation.
I selected the HDD but it fails again, with a 8030024 error !

Check this possible solution: Resolved! - Windows Installation fails with 0X8030024 | DellExperts

Also, if you have more than one more hard drive, make sure you disconnect them before you attempt to install Windows 7 on the one you're using.

Check your bios settings to make sure you have the correct drive booting first.. reinstall the os with full format from any Win7 dvd (not quick) - this should check the disk with the chkdsk command to verify that your hd file system is not corrupted or damaged. You can also try to rewrite the boot sector and mbr from a comand line... fixboot C: and fixmbr C: both can be launched from the win7 repair console

I understand that you cleaned with diskpart.. you should also check the filesystem for errors

Do you remember where it failed the first time and what errors you got if any?

Have you tried seavixen32's link yet? What was the result?

After telling me that you'd already run the tests that I'd been asking about for days, I see that you finally got Data Lifeguard extended CD scan to run and it passed.

The other step given to pass the HD is to format a full disk partition to run Disk Check from System Recovery Options command line.

Once the HD finally passes then we can troubleshoot the install.

Reset the CMOS: Clear CMOS - 3 Ways to Clear the CMOS - Reset BIOS

Set SATA controller to AHCI in BIOS setup.

Reading back through the thread I see that there was also no response about the installer integrity which is what causes the error you originally had. I was trying to link you to the latest official ISO download to burn to DVD or write to flash stick so you would know the installer is good and eliminate that as a possible fault. You evaded the question about the licensed version and how it was activated, and finally asked me if I work for MS. But the issue was never resolved.

Are you ready to work with me now on this and not fight me? The install success rate for those who work with us is 100% which is why we are the top Installation forum on the web.

    to seavixen32:

I also saw the link you sent me in Google.
    I tried it.
I got an error from diskpart : cannot clear disk attributes

    to Duzzy:

I used diskpart, the clean all command.
    It worked.
    Then I tried to install.
I could see the 2 disks in t.he list
    I selected the corrupted one.
Then I got the error 8030024.
Then I formated in NTFS using diskpart.
I retried to install and got the same error.

    to gregrocker:

I couldn't run checkdisk because no drive letter is assigned to the disk.
Though, I can see it in the list when trying to install.
About the licensed version, I didn't want to offend you.
There is no fight, I really appreciate your help and have no doubt about your very good knowledge.
You didn't say why you were asking about the license so I though you were saying I didn't get my Windows 7 copy legally.
I moved home last year and had a very big flooding in the basement last winter when the snow has melted.
I had to throw away a lot of boxes from the basement.
i search the basement last weekend but I didn't find my copy.
So I suppose I will never find it.

If Greg can't find you a solution I doubt anyone will.

You'll be in good hands with him. :)

I would create a full disk partition for the purpose of running Disk Check
from Repair Command Line - it is that important to finally sign off on the HD. Use Step 2.2 here: SSD - HDD Optimize for Windows Reinstallation or use free Partition Wizard bootable CD to see a picture of what you're doing.

It's also important enough to finally get a confirmed installer that I would write to flash stick or burn to DVD the latest official ISO download for your bit version using Windows 7 USB-DVD Download Tool:

    http://msft.digitalrivercontent.net/win/X17-59197.iso Windows 7 Professional x64 French
This is the correct language, yes?
