    want to completely wipe my computer.


    i want to completely wipe my computer clean. i tryed reinstalling. but i still have 200 gig worth of stuff on my hard drive. how do i wipe my hard drive completely then reinstall windows and have a fresh computer

    Change the boot order in BIOS to CD/DVD, load windows 7 dvd, reboot and follow on screen prompts, when you get to the screen to select a drive to load OS, click format at bottom right. This will erase the HDD and you can install the OS on an empty drive.

    Otherwise boot using a Partition Manager Boot Disk and then first delete and then in the unallocated space produced due to the deletion recreate the partition. Voilà.

    thanks bassfisher i just done what you said and now its showing 452 of 465gig free.

    Glad to here you got it...

    Remember to change your boot order back to HDD first in the BIOS.
