Does windows 7 ultimate take more HD space than basic?

    Does windows 7 ultimate take more HD space than basic?


    Do windows 7 ultimate boot files take more HD space than basic during initial installation?

    I ask because I plan to install the boot files on a 64gb SSD then do the users\other stuff on a normal HD to save space. Will ultimate take up more space on the SSD?

    No.

    Install the OS and Programs to SSD, then put your data in folders on the HD and add them to the various libraries in Win7: Library - Include a Folder - Windows 7 Forums
