Using cloned 32 bit Windows 7 hd on a 64 bit system.

I just purchased a second Dell M6300 and cloned the hd using Acronis. The cloning is supposed to produce a bootable drive. My problem is that the M6300 I just purchased has a 64 bit processor. After installing the 32 bit cloned hd my 64 bit unit won't boot. I tried using the Windows repair utility but that could not fix the issue. I tried installing Windows 7 32bit software again but it won't allow me to install it without booting to windows as I want to keep the programs and data already on the hd. Any ideas on how to get my cloned 32 bit os to boot on a 64 bit computer? Thanks

32 bit will run on 64 bit processors so the issue is likely the need to repair the boot on the clone.

Unplug the source HD, boot into Win7 DVD Repair console to mark the Win7 partition Active on clone: Partition - Mark as Active (Method Two)

Then run Startup Repair - Run 3 Separate Times until Win7 starts on its own and holds the System Active flags.
