Win 7 Ultimate 64 bit Setup freeze.

    Hello!

So, my brother brought me his emachine G730G laptop.
    Specs:
    *Intel i3-370M
    *Ati 5650
    *4+2gb RAM
    *320gb HDD

The problem was when he brought it to me that the computer didn't start up normally.
It gave no errors or such, it just "Starting windows" forever, the colored things kept moving all the time and the blue light(which shows if PC is thinking) kept blinking all the time as normal - but all in all, it never went on from there.

So I decided to install new windows on it. I didn't want to format or anything.
Anyway, now when I boot from my win 7 CD, it hangs absolutely everywhere.
First it took 15 min to load the "Setup is preparing", then I got to the partition part, this took another 15 min, and finally installing itself took forever. It actually seemed to successfully install, but in the end when starting up services it game me BSOD(sorry, couldn't read the error) and said that I have to reinstall. -.- Then I gave up. Could anyone help me or tell me what is causing the problem? Btw, I've installed win 7 several times from the CD with no problems.

    Thanks in advance,
    ~Eerik Muuli.

Reset BIOS to defaults: Clear CMOS - 3 Ways to Clear the CMOS - Reset BIOS

While in BIOS setup set SATA controller (if one) to AHCI to try install. Set your DVD drive to boot first, then HD. Physically unplug any Floppy drive. Then unlug any other HD's or peripherals to try install.

If it fails again, test the HD with maker's HD Diagnostic extended CD scan. You can find out the HD make by looking on it. If full test finds errors run it again until clean. Then wipe the HD using that option on CD.

If install still fails, remove all but 2gb RAM to try install. Then swap RAM sticks. Examine slots closely for debris and blow it out. Test your RAM thoroughly using this tutorial to test both RAM and slots: RAM - Test with Memtest86+

Next try a new installer for your version from the Forums's tutorial to Clean Reinstall - Factory OEM Windows 7. To eliminate the installer as problem, if DVD fails again then write ISO to flash stick using tool given. Boot stick under USB, Removable or HD's using eMachine F10 one-time Boot Menu key, this time with HD set first to boot in BIOS.

Report back results on each step as you should know by now if it will install or have a clearer reason why not.

I would Check the hard drive with the manufacturer's diagnostic tools.
Hard Drive Diagnostics Tools and Utilities (Storage) - TACKtech Corp.
    HD Diagnostic

       Information
We always assume you have made your Recovery Disks using the OEM manufacturer's Recovery Media Creator app the first day you had your new PC.
& made the Startup Repair CD.

Did you make the OEM manufacturer's Recovery Disks?

    Hey guys!
Good news, I got it all working.
    I ran SpinRite v 6.1 (took 50h), but now it's running good again! :)
