Ok, i got the install cd to work but when it boots up to finish installation, A window pops up saying "the request operation was unsuccessful". Please help i cannot boot to either os because the xp boot file was already made.

Did you full format the XP partition from the installer? Did you use SP3 XP CD?

You can start Win7 by marking it Active then running Startup Repair - Run 3 Separate Times
Partition - Mark as Active (Method Two)

Yes i used service pack 3 and i got to unparticipned space, installed xp on that and then it said restarting computer, i then saw the windows xp loading screen and then i got the error. I think the problem may be that it needs the other drivers. Would slipstreaming the other xp drivers maybe work?

Possibly. See if you can enter Device Manager during install as with Win7, to see which devices are in error to uninstall them to complete install, then update them from desktop: Device Manager - Access During Windows 7 Installation

Looks like you want this one:

    08-13-2009Driver
    HDD
Intel Matrix Storage Manager for Windows XP/Vista/7 (32/64)(v8.9.0.1023; 10-23-2009; 4.25M)

Select Window XP SP2/SP3 in the Operating System dropdown to see it.

Day late and a dollar short, sorry.

This isn't an error normally gotten from a booted installer, but from an OS. Is the disk booting? How far do you get in the process?
