    on reboot> windows boot manager screen> windows failed to start. a recent hardware or software change might be the cause. to fix the problem:

    1. insert install disk and restart
    2. choose lang.
    3. click repair your computer.

    file:\boot\bcd
    status: 0xc000000e

    info: error while attempting to read boot config data.

    checked bios real quick before disk boot;

    sys bios version 2.10> ec version 1.80> multi processing enabled> esata port disabled> usb legacy disabled> sata controller mode: compatibility> boot order cd (which shows it being primary master), then hdd/ssd 2nd in order (shows it as slave 1 (S1))

    rebooting from cd to do repair

    Make sure Win7 partition is marked Active then run Startup Repair - Run 3 Separate Times.

    Partition - Mark as Active (Method Two)

    If this fails try install with SATA controller in AHCI mode as I suggested 3 days ago. In fact I would work through the troubleshooting steps from the top to make sure you're not missing any.

    got the guide in front of me> downloaded the win 7 home prem 64 iso with sp1> burnt it to dvd > slow burn with verify option. > got all my drivers on a usb drive> got my product key from coa sticker> did custom install > deleted parts and did clean in diskpart ( as opposed to doing it thru the installer)

    list disk> disk 0 - online - 232 gb - 0 b free - nothing under DYN OR GPT

    SEL DISK 0 > list part > part 1 & 2 primary > offsets correct ( 1024kb on part 1, 100mb ) > part 2 101mb.

    You meant Part 2 is 101gb right? If not then Startup Repair is correct that there is no OS installed.

    Try Step 2.2 here to prepartition 100gb Primary NTFS part and mark Active for install: SSD - HDD Optimize for Windows Reinstallation
