Getting new SSD today, question about backups/dualboot

So I saw the Vertex4 released yesterday so I have decided to buy 1, my first SSD :)

Now what I am wondering, can I plug in the new SSD, make it boot priority, install windows etc. When I get to Windows can I access my existing RAID0 and access it's data?

My aim is to make it as easy as possible to backup my data, drag and drop evey thing I want to keep from the old install/HDD's to the new SSD, then format my RAID0, leaving my SSD as the only OS drive.

    Hi Dredj,

Why not just copy the data off your old HDDs to an External HDD? And use that to transfer the necessary data to your new SSD with Windows installed. This way you don't have to worry about configurations and stuff.

can I access my existing RAID0 and access it's data?
    Not sure.

I have seen people having two SSDs and two HDDs on the same RAID controller and transfer files back and forth after configuring the BIOS.

I usually transfer my data over my network to my brother's PC, but he's always bitchy about it, so I was wondering if this way could work.

I would not use RAID0 which is not redundant so you lose everything if one HD dies. Better to use the drives separately for storage. Data can also be linked to related Library - Include a Folder - Windows 7 Forums

Use an external, another HD, or computer on network, or upload 15gb free to Skydrive per each Windows Live ID.
