    Virtual Disk Service error

I have this same issue and I have
    Disk 0: Partition 1 100.0mb system
    Disk 0: Partition 2 698.5gb primary

And it's giving me the same error and I'm contemplating deleting both partitions but my question is will the system automatically create a new combined partition or somethin?because I have absolutely no os installed so it's not like I can go in windows and create a partition like that. And how would I delete the old partitions?

Lamar you would delete both partitions during install using Custom Drive options as shown in this illustrated tutorial: Clean Install Windows 7. Then either create your partitions as you wish or just click next and Win7 will create the install partition for you and begin install.

If you have further problems, try wiping the HD with Diskpart Clean Command from installer using DISKPART At PC Startup

When trying to format I get the error
    Virtual Disk Service error:
    The media is write protected
How do I remove this write protection?

    During step 6 I get
DiskPart has encountered an error: Data error <cyclic redundancy check>. See the system event log for more information.

Did you wipe the HD with Diskpart Clean command first as suggested?

Are you trying to install or reinstall Win7? If so you would partition and format using the Custom Drive tools shown in this tutorial, or just click Next and the installer will create/format install partition for you and begin install: Clean Install Windows 7

If you are only wanting to format a data drive, then try the Diskpart Clean Command first.

I followed the tutorial to wipe and got an unallocated space but when I try to create a partition I still get the same error and when I try to just click next it says
Windows cannot be installed to this disk. This computers hardware may not support booting to this disk. Ensure that the disk controller is enabled in the computer bios menu. The computer recently had the os on it but got wiped so I know the driver is supported and Im not sure about the second part cause I don't see the option in thEe bios however I've set the options of all setting to default except boot order.

Do you have an EFI BIOS? Check in BIOS setup.

If not check for a newer BIOS update on the computer or mobo maker's Support Downloads webpage. If none, reset BIOS to defaults: Clear CMOS - 3 Ways to Clear the CMOS - Reset BIOS

While in BIOS setup set SATA controller to AHCI to try install. If it fails try IDE mode.

Unplug all other HD's and peripherals.

If these fail try wiping with Diskpart clean command, pre-partitioning the drive then marking Active using Step 2.2 here: SSD - HDD Optimize for Windows Reinstallation

Ok I've had the bios sata controller set to IDE I'll try AHCI and see if that boots before I try the other option

Try all steps without skipping any. Often we find out later the skipped step was the fix. If you need more help just ask back.

    This is how you learn.

When you set AHCI in BIOS, the Bootmgr is Missing error occurs because it is trying to boot into HD. You want to boot into the installer to try install. Exactly when are you are getting the error?
