    Red 'Error' screen

Red screen of death... I have read that by deleting the remaining hidden factory partition it works ...
(pressing F9 on startup allows you to reload with a standard Asus install of Vista and all programs)
I have this problem also on an Asus laptop that was running Vista Home 32bit, when I installed lovely Windows7 all was well untill it rebooted for the first time then it would not go past the big red 'error' screen.... I am currently re-installing Windows7 yet again and will try to make a recovery CD/DVD of this hidden drive (just in case things go wrong) then I will delete this partition and see how things go....

    Back soon with a verdict...

    Fix:

    1. Boot on DVD
    2. Choose your language and everything else
    3. Than choose the “repair” menu (text menu not easy to see)
    4. Choose “command prompt”
    5. Type bootsect.exe
    6. Type bootsect /nt60 ALL

    Worked for me.
