    Which exact step does it Blue Screen at? Clean Install Windows 7

    Remember you must boot the DVD in order to install 64 bit as you cannot run the installer from a 32 bit OS!

    Good idea to test your RAM and remove all but one stick to try install, then swap sticks.

    If it won't install in AHCI mode, then try IDE mode, after resetting BIOS to defaults: Clear CMOS - 3 Ways to Clear the CMOS - Reset BIOS

    Next try wiping the HD with Diskpart Clean Command booting the DVD to access DISKPART At PC Startup

    windows is installed with AHCI mode on it blue screens on the desktop after about 2 mins of use
    sorry i was not very clear was a little distracted at the time

    thank you for the help gregrocker and seavixen32 turns out one of the sticks of ram was faulty causing the error all is good thank you again
