    If it's turned on in msconfig>Startup or >Services then the Catalyst bloatware can remain there after uninstall as a live key. Try searching the Registry at Regedit>File>Find and Find Next.

    It might also be an element of the driver package that Upgrade Advisor misinterpreted. I've seen it before.

    It was on in Services set to Auto start so I disabled it and run the reg search and found several ATI entries and ditched them. Still 4-5 minutes in Shutting Down on reboots, so I'm heading to a clean install.
