    Virtual boot.

I got a win 7 installation on one disk and a xp installation on another
    disk.

Is there a way to boot into the xp installation virtualy when i'm
    into win 7 ?

I need to get acces to the xp installation because there is no
way to get my keyboard or mouse drivers installed when I boot
directly into xp. Xp tries to install other stuff and hangs on install
dialogs which I cant click on since my keyboard and mouse doesn't
    respond.

    Help...

    Not that I'm aware of.

Pop in the XP install disc and do a repair install. Unplug the drive that has Win7 on it so you don't overwrite the boot sector.

I already tried unplugging the win 7 disk but xp still hangs because it tries to reinstall
the mobo drivers allthough no hardware was added.

So inserting the win cd wont help because I cant click on the buttons of the install
    dialogs.

...... I'm desperate because the xp install hosts a music creating OS with ableton
and hundreds of vst's and reinstalling everything means +/- 5 hours of work

if you make a unattended install, you won't have to click on any buttons. but it sounds to me like you'd be better off with a keyboard and mouse that is compatible with Windows XP.
