Well, that didn't go as planned! WIN 8 install on VMplayer.

Sorry - it says specifically on the download page that the install cannot be reversed.
You'll have to do a clean install of Win 7.

PSCO2007 is correct, you will have to carry out a clean install of Windows 7.

Please check out this tutorial, which explains how to dual boot Windows 7 and Windows 8.

This worked on the Win8 Developer's Preview: How to restore a Windows 7-based computer to a previous Windows installation by using the Windows.old folder.

You can try it to see if it will also work to roll back the Win8 Consumer Preview to Win7.

Otherwise you'll have to Clean Install Windows 7
