Inplace Upgrade Windows 7 SP1 ultimate 64

I do not have a SP 1 disk as i downloaded andbinstalled the SP 1. Now i want to do an inplace upgrade but when i try with my "non" SP1 win7 disk i get an error message saying the winows ver i have installed is newer than the version i am trying to install.

What are the steps to inplace upgrade my SP1 ver without an SP1 Win7 disk?

Thx!

Hello Ned,

If you like, you could use the note under step 5 in the tutorial below to download and create a Windows 7 w/SP1 installation USB/DVD to do a repair install with. :)

Repair Install

Hope this helps,
Shawn

things don't work out, like it just starts messing up. can i use my installation cd to reinstall the OS? or would i have to call microsoft or something? my dad says i should just do an inplace upgrade over vista and if things get buggy, then just reinstall over it.
